Remota is a cloud service specifically designed for invoice processing within accounting operations. It utilizes Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to extract information such as dates, amounts, and suppliers from invoices. Additionally, AI performs verification and identifies appropriate accounting codes, enabling seamless integration with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and workflows.

Addressing the Coexistence of Paper Invoices and Digital Invoices

  1. 1. Invoice Reception: Upload scanned images of paper invoices or PDF invoice files to Remota via email or cloud storage services like Box.
  2. 2 .OCR Processing: Remota reads the information on the invoices using OCR and converts it into text data.
  3. 3. Review and Correction: AI identifies optimal accounting codes and performs journal entries. Items requiring further verification are flagged, allowing users to confirm data consistency before finalizing.
  4. 4. Submission and Approval: Finalized data can be integrated with ERP systems and workflows, streamlining accounting operations.
                           

In the future, Remota plans to support unified management of digital invoices compliant with Peppol standards.

Insight & Tips: Integration Workflow with Concur® Invoice

Data reviewed and corrected in Remota can be transferred as finalized data to Concur® Invoice. Since Remota and Concur® Invoice are connected via API, data transfer is completed with a simple click within Remota. The created accounting codes (expense types) are also transferred to Concur® Invoice, reducing the effort required for expense type entry.
